Marc Kaczmarek

Arriving in New York City from France in 1962, the work of Marc Kaczmarek was dominated for the first fifteen years by still photography. Guided by the influence of his mentors and friends -Alexei Brodovitch, longtime editor of Harpers’s Bazaar; Lisette Model, and the painter Domenico Paulon, Kaczmarek’s varied projects of street portraits, theater, dance, and architecture engaged his interest with equal intensity. The scope of his subject matter is comprehensive and defined within the context of his richly textured environment.
